Sweet treats for my dessert plate

It's cupcake time!

Since Sally was home from school again today recovering from a yucky head cold
we made some pretty cupcakes for our cake dish.

I have to have something pretty in my cake dish all of the time.
Even if we don't eat it..    It's gotta be there.

I would offer you one of these scrumptiouss looking cakes but I don't wanna share.
Besides,  I don't think that they taste good at all.

The recipe is as follows...

We hot glued little foil balls to the bottoms of cupcake liners.

And then topped them with Polymer clay and sprinkles.

Sally's were the cutest.
Don't you just love the little dinosaur on this cupcake?

Once completed and decorated,
you pop them in a muffin tin and put them in the oven for about 15 minutes.

And now,  Our little dessert dish is full of Valentines sweets that won't land on my butt.

Don't worry...
I wouldn't torture my sweet girls like that.
We made some real cupcakes too!

Only these cupcakes have a yummy peanut butter surprise inside.

Yummmmmo!

These,  I will share!
xo

Have a great Wednesday Friends.
I hope that your day is sweet!

What a great idea! I think they're super cute, it's almost a good thing you can't eat them, I wouldn't want to because they look so pretty! I guess that's a decoration you can make for any holiday. :)

Oh my gosh...you are so clever and they are so cute! I bought a beautiful cake dome but then could not find a fake cake for it, so...I bought a real one, let it set out on the counter for a couple of months, it dried out and became hard. It sits in the cake dome, looking real but not eatable! LOL Love your real ones too. :)

I love this! Finally a food post that won't ruin my resolutions...

I was watching an episode of the real housewives of ...wherever, and they keep pretty little pastries in crystal cloches on the counter because they can afford to get them delivered daily and use them as a decorations. This PERFECT for that!

Thanks for sharing and I need to go catch up on the rest of your blog that I missed during my absence!

This is adorable! Do you use a specific kind of polymer clay?

You should link this to Seasonal Sundays one of these days.
