What a beautiful Mother's Day Weekend!!
I took a much needed break from painting the house
and we got a little head start on Summer!!!
Darla wanted to go for a ride in the jeep with us,
little did she know that the source of transportation would be by boat.
There is no greater feeling then sitting on the bow of the boat on a sunny day.
The smell of the sea and the breeze blowing through my hair ~
These are the days that I live for.
It's been a while since Darla joined us on the beach.
Do you think that she had a good time?
The water is coooold!
But it was great just to sit on the beach, listen to the sounds of the shore and relax and reflect.
What is it about the seashore that is so tranquil?
Michelle had to work but Sally was able to come out with us.
I can believe that not so long ago we used to bring baby Sally to this beach in her "porta-crib".
Now look at her..
Another thing about hanging out on the beach..
it makes you tired and hungry!
I always crave summer foods after a day on the boat.
Hot dogs, Crab cakes and corn on the cob.
After a great few hours on the beach
we packed up and headed home so that Sally could get ready for her final 8th grade dance.
It is uncanny how much she looks like her sister did in 8th grade.
In a few days sally will be wearing a cap and gown just like Michelle's as she receives her 8th grade diploma from the same school.
( Michelle 2005)
She had a great time at the dance and now she is looking forward to the end of the year field trip and final activities.
Have a great Tuesday Friends!!!
