More Halloween happenings

Lots more Halloweening going on in the Spoonful house.

Yesterday I made these delicious whoopie cookies
( the easy recipe is listed in my tags as Christmas Sandwich cookies)

We made a stack for Sally's teacher.

and we made some treat bags for the upcoming Halloween party

You could call this a pumpkin potpie ~

actually it was a beef potpie and we devoured it!

I learned a new trick from my good friend Martha Stewart.
Break open a highlighter pen and put the guts of the pen in warm water
and you get this cool glowing liquid..

and under a black light..
It looks amazing!

This post is dedicated to my old friend who also loved Halloween.
Yesterday, she lost a short terrible battle with lung cancer at the young age of 46.

God Speed Cathy!
xo

Hope that you all are enjoying this last week of October!

I like parts of Halloween....really I do...I like the food part of it..candy corn is my all time favorite! I like decorating my house and carving pumpkins. I don't like dressing up and my childhood birthday celebrations...and that one sister insist on getting me wacky halloween gifts every stinking year....and birthday cards that say have a spooky birthday!! lol!
Have great day!

Sorry to hear about your old friend.

My gosh, woman, how do you sleep at night in this frightening house?
With less than a week to go, you are well beyond what I'll ever be on Halloween night.
Love the little spiderweb containers.
And the cookies look delish.
