Not my kind of Peeps

Just a few things...

It is sleeting outside here in Baltimore today.
GREAT!

So, the other day I made some of Martha Stewarts  marshmellow peeps.
..only mine were bunnies and eggs
The recipe' ( which I got from the recent Martha Stewart living) was very easy to follow

~ but...
I am not crazy about how they taste.

They were cute though.
You try them..  and tell me what you think.

Yesterday I finally started the 17 day diet plan
~I've had the book for weeks but I just wasn't ready to start

It is a great plan... If I can stick with it.

Day 2 and it's going good.
Boating season.. here I come!

It's a good thing that I didnt like the peeps!

Have a great Thursday friends

The peeps sure look awfully cute! What was it that you didn't like? Was the marshmallow too sweet?

Good luck on the new diet. I don't know anything about it...hope it's not too hard! :)

I've never heard of the 17 day diet, sounds intriguing. I feel like I've hit a plateau and need some inspiration.
Your peeps look so sweet, I've always wanted to try her marshmallows..is it the same recipe?

Those are simply adorable Leslie. Too bad you don't like them though. I've never made homemade marshmallows. They are SO cute!

They look adorable even if they don't taste too hot. I've made homemade marshmallows before and, to be honest, I prefer the store made ones (or Fluff). /shrug

Never heard of that diet before. Hmm. Looks interesting. 17 days fits in nicely with my short attention span. lolol

Well since they aren't up to your high taste standards...I would be more than happy to take those cute lil peeps off of your hands!
I've never made any kind of homemade marshmellows and always wondered how the taste was compared to store bought ones....sweet? not sweet? I may have to try the peep recipe now just for fun :)

I had a Martha Stewart recipe for homemade marshmallows that was in my recipe box forever and I just never got to it. So I threw it away. Now I feel better since you didn't care for the taste. Glad I can let go of this. I know. Strange. These are very cute though!

Good luck with the diet:)

Danged old Peeps! Maybe they need to age a bit. The girls still much on them way into the fall because I hide most of the Easter candy from them so they don't go in to a sugar coma! Good luck on your diet, and I am so with you on the crappy weather. I really do like snow, but not in April!

Thoser ARE cute and colorful. I am not a fan of the original Peeps.
You go girls on the diet!

It is supposed to be 85 here tomorrow with storms in the evening. Ugh.
