a quiet start to the new year.

Happy New Year friends.

I wish you all a wonderful 2011 filled with happiness, prosperity and good health.

Like Christmas and the days after
New Years eve was spent at home with family and friends.
It has been a very relaxed holiday season
and although I have been sick through most of it,
I have loved every minute being together with my family.

Wii bowling is the game of choice during the holidays.

Yesterday was spent taking the Christmas trees down and getting the house semi back to normal.

It feels pretty good to get the house cleaned and organised.

I was this < > close to bringing out the Valentine hearts.
But I didn't
YET!

Tomorrow is back to schedules..
back to school and back to the gym

Have a great Monday!!

I definitely is a good feeling to get the house back in order! I agree. I did it two days after Christmas. How nice to have an enjoyable and relaxing holiday. It's nice to actually enjoy it rather than spend the whole time stressed. Hope 2011 is a great year for you and your family!

I've seen Valentine's in the stores already...there was even some EASTER candy out at Wal-Mart! I'm still finding Christmas stuff everywhere.

I have the same couple of days that you have. The tree is down, much more to do...and yes, the gym is calling my name. Here's a big difference though- The Hearts are out! I jump right into Valentines Day. :) I am a very seasonal decorator.
Thank you so much for your encouragement during my very hard year. The new blog friends that I have made have been a great source of comfort with kind words and sincere affection. Such an unexpected Blessing!!!
Have a Bright and Hopeful start to your New Year!!!

Love, Joyce

There is definitely something comforting about a schedule. Don't feel bad, I'm already thinking of Valentine crafts and decoration ideas.

On your side bar there is a picture that says "Water for Elephants". That is one of my favorite books!! Is there a movie coming out?

I love Christmas and all the decorating. But I always love taking it down and getting the house back to normal. Or even less, as I tend to purge and pitch at the new year.

I took all mine down too but am a bit sad that it came and went so fast! Have a great year ;D

Nothing like getting the house "back to normal" is there?
I'll be ready soon for Valentine's
Day decor but I need to get the snowmen out first.

Have a great evening!

Now that the kids are back in school and my husband is at work, I look forward to getting my house back to normal too! I am going to try to resist Valentine decorating until the end of the month. I'll be back to check out your fabulous Valentine decorations! :)
