Button my Heart

I've got another simple little Valentines craft for you.

I started with a piece of scrap fabric
and a mixture of red and white buttons.

I have a ton of buttons!!

Using red thread I sewed random sized buttons to the fabric in the shape of a heart.

I purchased these perfect picture frames at the Dollar Tree.

I cut the fabric to fit the mat..

and TAPED it in place.

Look how pretty!!!

As you can see
since they were so easy
I made a few of them.
And since I already had buttons the total cost of 4 of them was $4.24

Now it is time to wrap and send!

Have fun!!!

Today I am linking up with Sundae Scoop

Those are really cute!
I kind of wish people made a big deal out of Valentines here in Norway as well so that we could do things like that. I always think it would be fun to be in America or other countries that celebrate "properly" on occasions like Valentines and Halloween.

Very sweet idea, Leslie. There is something comforting about sewing on buttons...probably because it is about all the mending I ever do! I love these for a pretty little Valentines Day display!

XO,
Jane

Leslie, this a GREAT idea! I love it, and we have a dollar tree nearby. Could you tell me what size frames they are? I saw you had some paper heart doilies. Are you going to post some more Valentine ideas with those :O) I love paper doilies but never know what to do with them.
