1st week of 2011

Hi Friends
I hope that this new year is getting off to a great start for all of you.

I have been enjoying getting the house back to normal.
The dining room has been reclaimed.
Remember that I hung that red floral wallpaper after Halloween?

I still love it.

Sharky has to sniff everything.

The other day I found a matching fabric..
I made a large table scarf with it.

This is Stymie
He thinks the dining room looks pretty too.

and here are all three of them.
What a silly house.

oops..
I meant to say
all four of them.

Pearl the dove says Hello.

This week I put a down payment on this baby...

I can't tell you how excited I am
I have wanted a SLR camera for a long time!!

I didn't make any New Year resolutions
but....
I  did promise myself that I would be at my goal weight by the time I turn 40 ~  I just had my 39th birthday and my time is running out.

I REjoined the gym!
and I've been twice already.
I am already doing better then my 38th year!

I have been off of work since last year!
Ok.. since  December 20
Actually I only worked 2 of  my scheduled 5 hours that day since I picked up a box of broken glass and sliced my palm open .    I spent the rest of my time at the walk in clinic getting fixed up.
The worst part wasn't the cut on my right palm, it was the tetanus shot that I received on my upper left arm.
Ouch!

To my awesome coworkers who have been missing me  ... I will see you all tomorrow for a few hours.

I've got some cute Valentines projects that I am working on and will post later this week. .
Have a great Wednesday !

Super excited for your camera!! I'm slowly reclaiming my house after the holidays, I feel so sluggish though!! I hear you on the weight loss, I would live to be at my goal weight by my 30th in July!!
I still love your wallpaper and your table fabric now just finishes the room perfectly!
Hope you have a great day x

Your house loooks great! I love the corner china cabinets and of course your furry little friends. Good luck on the weight loss. It's a battle I've fought my entire life and my husband and I are both bound and determined to get to our goal weights by summer. It sure isn't as easy as it used to be!

Can't wait to see the Valentine's projects.

I sure do miss having a dog around but not the mess in the yard...

The dining room looks lovely as always!

I love the wallpaper, it really is something I would have chosen myself. Love your pooches, too and the bird. We have a parrot, down from a gazillion birds at one time. Is she messy?

Congrats on the camera! You must be over the top excited!

Sorry about your hand. I hate getting stitches. And the shot doesn't help. Feel better soon.

XO,
Jane

It's so nice to get the house back to normal after the holidays, isn't it? I love the print on the wallpaper and the fabric. Yellow and red tones together are my favorite.

Happy New Year to you!

Hi Leslie.....I'm glad you stopped by and left a sweet comment. So your home has THREE floors? I would go crazy (in a good way) with all that space! Your pet family is adorable.

The tablerunner looks great! I especially love the animals posed all around your table.

I hate tetanus shots. After I had one, I couldn't lift my arm for days! Hope your feeling better.

Hi Leslie, and Happy New Year too you!
Sorry to hear you sliced your hand open, that must have hurt. You are the 4th person in just a few days that I heard started off the new year with a pretty major acident. Ouch!
Love how Sharkie looks at you from behind the pitcher in the picture with all three dogs. The other two don't care at all, but Sharkie wants to know what's going on.

I so want a real camera as well, probably exactly what you are getting. I don't feel justified to get one while I'm just staying at home, not working. So I better get off my butt and find a job.

I turn 40 in 3 months and I want to loose 2 lbs a week until then. (I know, dream on, right?) I've been to the gym 3 times this week, I love going there, the diet is the hard part for me. Good luck to us both! :)

Ouch Leslie...that's too bad about the cut and then the needle. Hope it's healing well. Love your wall paper and matching fabric...it looks very cheery and cottage-y ;) Love the picture of your golden retriever peeking around the corner of the chair. Enjoy the rest of your week.

I love love love the table scarf you made to match! That's perfect!

I got a Nikon CoolPix for Xmas. You know the one in the new commercials that Ashton Kutcher carries around that takes like five shots at a time and does the night photos? IT IS AWESOME!

Good luck on the goal weight. My 38th year isn't up until May but I haven't done any better than you did. *sigh*
