A walk to the nursery

I love this time of year.
When the air is crisp
and when the wind blows in a certain direction
I am blessed with the smell of fresh cut Christmas trees.

My great friends at the local nursery let me hang out and take some photos.
It is only footsteps away and I've been there a million times.
yet each time I visit..
I am in awe at the beauty that I find there.
It has been around for ever
and there is something about this place
that makes me feel like I am lost in time.

Maybe it's the smell of old wood and petunias
that is reminiscent of my grandparents house.

Standing here..
You feel like you are miles away from the city.

So many trees waiting to be decorated....

When you step beyond the Christmas trees and the leaves

and push through the warm doors

It is an explosion of color!!

Happy December friends.

I love the poinsettia photos. I remember seeing them in the greenhouses at Purdue during my college days! A sure sign of the holidays.

Hi Leslie,
How awesome it would be to live so close to a nursery....Mmmmm, I can smell the pine trees all the way over here. Love that scent. I can definitely understand why you like to visit it so often. Happy December to you too.

Hi Leslie! Thanks for coming back and visiting. Fresh greenery smells oh so good. Unfortunately, here in southern California, it dries out way too quick! Your photos really say "Christmas".
