Valentine Projects

This entry is chock full of photos. I'm so excited.. can't wait to show you all my latest project.

I got this idea from a blog that was giving a set of these pretty blocks away.
Fabulous Fun Finds: Brass Buttons Boutique Giveaway

While thier blocks are beautiful and I loved their idea, I wanted to make it my own.

I used a small set of whittling blocks to practice with.. and I was so thrilled at how they turned out that I made 2 sets. ( Tomorrow I will get more wood)

I think it's just Lovely!!!!
With some left over paper I covered a tin can and filled it with the 25. box of candy canes that I purchased today.

Katharine.. this is for you. While I was already playing with the paper I thought I would show you how to make the hearts.
First.. cut a long strip of paper and fold it long ways in thirds.

Put a little glue on it before making the third fold

~I used closed scissors to iron the creases ~
Fold in half

Shape ends around your fingers..

( preferably fingers that are not covered in Modge Podge and wood stain)

Glue together.
